Dudhsagar Falls  'Sea of Milk' is a four-tiered waterfall located on the Mandovi River in the Indian state of Goa. It is 60 km from Panaji by road and is located on the Belgaum–Vasco Da Gama rail route about 46 km east of Madgaon and 80 km south of Belgaum. Dudhsagar Falls is amongst India's tallest waterfalls with a height of 310 m (1017 feet) and an average width of 30 metres (100 feet).

The falls are located in the Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary and Mollem National Park among the Western Ghats. The falls are a punctuation mark in the journey of the Mandovi River from the Western Ghats to Panjim where it meets the Arabian sea. The area is surrounded by deciduous forests with rich biodiversity. The falls are not particularly spectacular during the dry season but during the monsoon season, however, the falls are fed by rains and form a huge force of water.

Abbey Falls (also spelled Abbi Falls and Abbe Falls) is a waterfall in Kodagu, in the Western Ghats of Karnataka, India. It is located 8 km from Madikeri, 122 km from Mysore, 144 km from Mangalore and 268 km from Bangalore.The waterfall is on the early reaches of the river Kaveri, located between private coffee plantations with stocky coffee bushes and spice estates and trees entwined with pepper vines. There is a hanging bridge constructed just opposite the falls. Flow is much higher during the monsoon season.

The falls was earlier called Jessi Falls, named after a British officer's wife. However, the place was a thick jungle back then. Years later, the waterfall was discovered by Mr. Neravanda B. Nanaiah who bought the place from the government and converted it into a coffee and spice plantation, which still surrounds the waterfall today.

Kutralam/Kuttalam Falls is located in Tenkasi district in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu bordering Kollam district, Kerala. The falls is located on the Western Ghatson the river Chittar and is considered a "medical spa" on account of the medical smell in the waters.It is located 5 km (3.1 mi) from the nearest city Tenkasi. There are a total of nine falls of which Peraruvi, Aintharuvi and Puli Aruvi being the most prominent.

The Tirunelveli district administration organises Saral Vila, an eight-day festival every year during the Tamil month of Adi (July - August). The falls is the most prominent tourist destination in the region and usually frequented by devotees of the Papanasanathar Temple and Sabarimala. The season starts with the South West monsoon from July to September. The Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation (TTDC) has a boat house that operates boating during season. Kuttalam palace is Travancore monument situated near to Waterfalls. Before 1956 kuttalam was also a part of Travancore state.

Hogenakkal Falls is a waterfall in South India on the Kaveri river on the border between Dharmapuri district of Tamil Nadu and Chamrajnagar district of Karnataka. It is located 46 km (29 mi) from Dharmapuri district headquarter and 199 km (124 mi) from Chamrajnagar district headquarter. It is also located 127 km (79 mi) from Bangalore, 181 km (112 mi) from Mysore, 344 km (214 mi) from Chennai and 200 km (120 mi) from Coimbatore.It is sometimes referred to as the "Niagara Falls of India,"

it is known for bathing areas and hired boat rides and as a major tourist attraction. Carbonatite rocks in this site are considered to be the oldest of its kind in South Asia and one of the oldest in the world. The Government of Tamil Nadu proposed to convert the falls into providing drinking water for the state.

Athirapilly Falls is situated in Athirapilly Panchayat in Chalakudy Taluk of Thrissur District in Kerala, India on the Chalakudy River, which originates from the upper reaches of the Western Ghats at the entrance to the Sholayar ranges. It is the largest waterfall in Kerala, which stands tall at 81.5 feet. Just a short drive from Athirapilly to the Vazhachal Falls, which is close to dense green forests that are home to many endangered and endemic species of flora and fauna.

There is another waterfall on the way from Athirapilly to Vazhachal Falls, in close proximity to the road, which is locally called "Charpa Falls". Athirappilly Falls is the largest waterfall in Kerala and is nicknamed "The Niagara of South India".

Forest wildlife in the area includes the Indian elephant, Bengal tiger, Indian leopard, gaur, sambar, and lion-tailed macaque. The unique 180 metres (590 ft) elevation riparian forest in the Athirappilly-Vazhachal area is the only location where all four South Indian species of hornbills — the great hornbill (the state bird of Kerala), Malabar pied hornbill, Malabar grey hornbill, and the Indian grey hornbill are found living together.

Kiliyur Falls is a waterfall on the Periyaaru river in the Shervaroyan hill range in the Eastern Ghats, Tamil nadu, India. The waters overflowing the Yercaud Lake fall 91 m (300 ft) into the Kiliyur Valley. At a distance of 4 km from Yercaud Bus Stand and 3 km from Yercaud Lake, Kiliyur Falls is a spectacular waterfall situated in the Servaroyan hill range of the Eastern Ghats in Tamil Nadu, India. This is one of the beautiful waterfalls near Bangalore, and among the must include places in Yercaud holiday packages.

Kiliyur Falls is formed by the overflowing waters of Yercaud Lake, one of the most prominent Yercaud tourist places. The waterfalls drop into the Kiliyur Valley from a height of 300 feet (91 m). The view of the falls is breathtaking, especially in the monsoon season. This is a seasonal waterfall and the best time to visit this place is immediately after the monsoons. It is an ideal place to spend a weekend away from a busy life.

The 2 km trek to the falls is a bit tough and may not be suitable for kids and elderly tourists. There are about 200 steep steps on the path towards the falls. It takes about an hour from the nearest road point to the bottom of the falls. There are no shops near the falls and visitors are advised to carry snacks and water.

Soochipara Falls also known as Sentinel Rock Waterfalls is a three-tiered waterfall in Vellarimala, Wayanad, India. It is surrounded by deciduous, evergreen and montane forests. Locally referred to as Soochipara ("Soochi" meaning "Needle" and "Para" meaning "Rock"), the 15-20 minute drive from Meppadi to Sentinel Rock Waterfalls has views of a number of Wayanad's tea estates.[1] The Sentinel Rock Waterfalls is 200 metres (656 feet) and offers a cliff face that is used for rock climbing. The water from Soochipara Falls later joins Chulika River or popularly known as Chaliyar River after Velarimala Hills near Cherambadi (Tamil Nadu) in Kerala.

Once people reach the parking area, they have to pass through a security check at the entrance where they make sure you don't carry any plastic. It takes 10-15 minutes walk to the waterfalls and water flow is less during summer, which makes it easy to reach the rocks where water falls. One have to walk around 1.2 kilometres to reach the waterfalls. It is advisable to drink enough water before the walk down to the falls.

You can reach Soochipara Waterfalls Wayanad after a thrilling downward trek. The steep hills surrounding it offer the perfect terrain for trekking and rock climbing. It’s a refreshing retreat for adventure enthusiasts in Wayanad.The waterfall cascades down the rocks from about 200 meters. A natural pool is formed below the falls, with cool, clear water asking you to dip in it. It’s a mesmerizing and spellbinding sight.

Kunchikal Falls is a waterfall in India located in the Nidagodu village near Masthikatte in the Shimoga district of state Karnataka. Kunchikal falls cascades down rocky boulders and the total height of the falls is 455 meters (1493 feet) according to the World Waterfall Database.Kunchikal falls is formed by the Varahi river.

After the construction of the Mani Dam near Masthikatte and an underground power generation station near Hulikal, Shimoga district, the water flow to the falls is greatly reduced and is visible only during the rainy season (July-Sept). As the falls are within a restricted area, a gate pass is required to visit. The nearest Airport is at Mangalore, situated 138 km (86 mi) from Kunchikal Falls.
